How to find a table in your database using SQL Server

Find where a table is stored in your databases using the below query. Same principle applies when looking for a column name.

Replace MytableName in the WHERE  clause withe the keyword you need.

Execute the query by pressing F5 or the Execute button.

SELECT t.name AS table_name,
SCHEMA_NAME(schema_idAS schema_name,
c.name AS column_name
FROM sys.tables AS t
INNER JOIN sys.columns c ON t.OBJECT_ID c.OBJECT_ID
WHERE t.name LIKE ‘%MytableName%’
ORDER BY schema_nametable_name;
