LuneOS now available on mobile devices

Having a rather turbulent history, the Palm developed webOS has found its way to mobile devices. The project for mobile devices was renamed to LuneOS and as its predecessors it is open source.

The developers are still working hard on growing this platform but only few features are yet functional such as Wi-Fi. They also aim to utilize features like telephony, graphics drivers, and hardware acceleration from Android in the future.

The project’s developers have provided some porting instructions so with a bit of knowledge, you can make LuneOS work on your device.

You can get the installation instructions and compiled binaries from the LuneOS project’s website.
